It is sourced from small organic farmers. Alce Nero is part of Cooperativas Sin Fronteras, an organisation which since its foundation has been promoting the principles of quality and wholesomeness of raw materials, and above all, social and environmental sustainability. To date it involves more than 14,000 families of producers in Latin America.
This type of sugar is a whole product, directly obtained from extracting the juice of sugar cane, followed by no further refinement. Alce Nero whole cane sugar has a caramelised flavour.
